Dear Breeders,

I wish to invite all current and prospective clients to take a good look at the contents of our brochure for the 2007 season as I feel there is a stallion there to suit every breeder. We have a mixture of proven stallions and some exciting young prospects in residence offering breeders a rich and diverse source of the most successful bloodlines in the world.

In 2006, BARATHEA again proved to be one of the most consistent stallions standing at stud siring 14 individual Group/Stakes performers including the 2 year old Group 2 Lowther Stakes and Goffs Five Hundred winner, SLIK BLOSSOM. He is also now being recognised as a successful broodmare sire, having produced three Group 1 winners from his first crop, viz Tie Black, Necklace and Konigstiger. Furthermore, his first three sons to stand at stud, ENRIQUE, BARATHEA GUEST and TOBOUGG have all achieved tremendous success with their first crops of runners.

NAMID's progency have again had a very successful year on track with 48 individual winners of €1.3 million including the Group 2 winning filly POUT. We are confident that he will be even more successful when the progency of his higher class book of mares hit the track in the coming seasons.

We are delighted that our decision to bring SHINKO FOREST back to Rathbarry for the 2006 season was fully justified as he was the sire of 4 individual Group Winning Sprinters this year. MOSS VALE, under the shrewd guidance of his new trainer, Dandy Nicholls fulfilled the potential he showed in the previous year by winning a Group 2, two Group 3's and being Group 1 placed for his new owner, Lady O'Reilly, and we believe he should be in line for Group 1 success in 2007. CLOSE TO YOU, ELECTRIC BEAT, PRESTO SHINKO and SHINKO'S BEST were also Group or Listed winners for Shinko Forest in 2006.

It is no surprise that TAGULA continues to be one of our most popular stallions in Rathbarry as every year he produces an amazing percentage of winners to runners. In 2006 he sired 55 winners of 86 races including the Stakes Winner and multiple Group placed TAX FREE. His supporters were again rewarded at the 2006 sales with his yearlings realising over 5 times his stud fee.

Last year we said that ACCLAMATION's foals were of a consistent high quality. This statement was endorsed at the 2006 yearling sales when 53 Acclamation yearlings average €45,500 (Median €50,500) and were purchased by some of the shrewdest judges in the business. We eagerly await his first 2-Y-O runners in 2007.

As I write, the first crop foals by Dual Group Winning Sprinter/Miler, NEEDWOOD BLADE (By Pivotal), are being prepared for the sales ring and I am confident that you will be suitably impressed by them. NEEDWOOD BLADE, who has been fully booked for his first two seasons, will again stand at Richard Kent's MICKLEY STUD for the 2007 season.

In 2007, we will be eagerly awaiting the first crop foals from the Group 1 winning champion miler, LE VIE DEI COLORI. Hi was very well supported in his first year and recorded an excellent fertility rate of 94%. In view of the recent death of his sire EFISIO, I feel that LE VIE DEI COLORI offers breeders a great opportunity to avail of his bloodlines at a reasonable fee.

Rathbarry Stud's original reputation was based on its National Hunt Stallions and this tradition has been proudly maintained. PRESENTING fulfilled all our dreams when siring the 2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner WAR OF ATTRITION. However, he is not just a one horse sire, with names like DENMAN, TURPIN GREEN, OUR BEN, BAJAN SUNSHINE and a plethora of youngster's waiting in the wings, there is much to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. PRESENTING is backed up by the exciting team of both beautifully bred and excellent racehorses DUSHYANTOR, REVOQUE, CROCO ROUGE and BLUEPRINT.

To cater for the ever increasing numbers of National Hunt mares, we have recently acquired INDIAN DANEHILL from the Irish National Stud. The outstanding looking son of Danehill won 4 races at 2, 3 and 4 years from 8 to 10.5 furlongs including Group 1 Prix Ganay, Group 2 Prix d'Harcourt and Group 3 Prix de Fontainbleu. INDIAN DANEHILL has proved to be a prolific sire of winners on the flat from his first three crops of winners and from his first crop, 4 year olds of 2006, he is the sire of 3 hurdle winners, including PREMIER DANE, winner of 2 hurdle races and second in the Grade 1 Sportsmans Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices Hurdle at Aintree to Detroit City (Winner of the 2006 Gr.1 Triumph Hurdle, Cheltenham).

In conclusion, we wish to re-assure all breeders that our principal concern is to provide you with the highest possible degree of value and service. To breed a horse capable of greatness is every mare's owner's ambition. I hope that the Rathbarry and Glenview stallions will enable you to realise that dream.

Best Wishes
