Dushyantor represents the excellent Sadler's Wells/Slightly Dangerous nick seen also in Charnwood Forest, Diktat, Bishop Of Cashel and Sumati. And two of these, Charn wood Forest and Diktat, have had plenty of sire success between them in 2004. All of the above are by Slightly Dangerous' son Warning out of mares by Sadler's Wells.
However, although sending Warning-line mares would produce very close and possibly undesirable inbreeding to Slightly Dangerous, there is the possibility of introducing other in Reality-line mares to Dushyantor, such as those by Warning's sire Known Fact. And be mindful that using So Factual or Bold Fact mares would produce inbreeding to Roberto.
Breeders would do well to consider all of those lines that have proved successful with Dushyantor's sire Sadler's Wells. For instance, the Never Bend line has gone down very well with Sadler's Wells and it has also worked with Dushyantor's half- brother Warning. Behaviour, Sunningdale (out of Darshaan mares) and Endorsement and Mudeer (out of Shirley Heights mares) are fine examples of Warning and Darshaan working together, while Warning's Groupwinning son Armando Carpio is from a Wassi (by Mill Reef) mare. Plus there is the not insignificant fact that a mating between Shirley Heights and Slightly Dangerous has already produced Classic-placed Deploy.
Another line to consider is that of Lyphard. Although this will mean inbreeding to Northern Dancer both Dushyantor's ha If-brother Warning and broodrnare sire Roberto have struck a chord with Lyphard-line mares. Warning has sired Group winners Prophecy, Decorated Hero,
Danger Over and Take Heed from mares by Lyphard. And Lyphard's sons have provided the dams of
Warning's Stakes winners Torch Rouge (Bellypha), Hopeful Light (Dancing Brave), Self Defence
(Dancing Brave), Di Moi Di (Pharly). Meanwhile, the Roberto/Lyphard axis has given us Derby winner Commander In Chief, Dushyantor's half brother
