SON OF YOUMZAIN LANDS VALUABLE PRIZE AT CHANTILLY
TENNESSEE SONG (Youmzain) continued an excellent run for his sire when making a successful seasonal return in the Prix de Precy worth €52,000 on April 8th.
Run over a mile and a half at Chantilly, it saw Marie-Claire Chaalon’s charge make his first appearance since December. Quickly sent to the front by Louis-Philippe Beuzelin, he was travelling well on the turn for home and was ridden out to hold off late challenges by his rivals, prevailing by three parts of a length on the line.
Tennessee Song races in the colours of Bernard Desespringalle, who bred the winner in partnership with Chaalon. A grandson of Listed performer Tritonia, he comes from the family of multiple Group 1 winner Intrepidity and Pretty Polly Stakes winner Calandra.
