STYLISH JUVENILE WINNER FOR ACCLAMATION

GRAND ROCK (Acclamation) built on a promising debut in July to win the mile Novice Stakes at Hamilton in comfortable fashion.
Fourth over six furlongs on the first attempt, he was sent off second favourite under Ben Curtis, who held the bay up towards the back of the field. Making headway from over three furlongs out, he ran on to lead approaching the final furlong and was pushed out to beat the favourite by three and a half lengths, with a further six lengths back to the third horse.
Trained by William Haggas for Hussain Alabbas Lootah, Grand Rock was bred by Peter and Hugh McCutcheon. Bought by Rathbarry Stud as a foal, he was resold as a yearling for £150,000 to Richard Knight.
